SMART STACK LOADING GUIDE

Residential Loads

To maximize your space and ensure a fast, hassle-free drop-off, think of your dumpster like a game of Tetris. To win, follow the "Smart-Stack" system. The golden rule for efficiency is "Last In, First Out" for bulky items.

Step 1: The Foundation (Small & Loose Debris)

Start at the bottom with smaller items and bagged household trash. This creates a solid "cushion" that fills the floor of the bin. Not only does this provide a stable base for the heavy stuff, but it also traps loose debris so it doesn’t fly out during transport.

Step 2: Fill the Gaps (Layer & Compact)
Next, toss in medium-sized items like wood scraps, flattened cardboard, and small furniture. Pro Tip: Flatten every box and break down furniture to kill "air pockets." The tighter you pack these layers, the more you can fit in the bin.

Step 3: The Heavy Hitters (Bulky Items on Top)
Save your largest, heaviest items—mattresses, couches, and appliances—for the VERY LAST.

Why? Most transfer stations have specific "special handling" zones for these items. By loading them last, they are the first things pulled out at the facility. This keeps you moving fast and saves you the extra labor fees of digging through a mountain of trash to find them.

Step 4: The Clean Finish (Level-Off)
Make sure nothing sticks out above the rim. California State Law is strict: we can’t transport overfilled or uneven loads. Keeping it level ensures we can safely tarp the container and get it on the road.

***THE SHORT VERSION***
Bottom Layer: Small, loose trash first to create a flat, stable base.

Middle Layer: Flattened boxes and wood scraps to fill gaps and eliminate air.

Top Layer: Bulky items (couches, mattresses) go last so they can be offloaded first. saves you the extra labor fees $100 EXTRA

Final Check: Keep the load level with the rim so we can safely tarp and haul.

WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT DIVERSION

Diversion

Our Commitment to Stewardship and Diversion

We believe that being a leader in our industry means being a diligent and responsible steward of the resources we handle every day. For our team, waste diversion is not about following modern slogans or chasing trends; it is about the timeless principle of doing the right thing with the materials we have been given. We view every load not merely as "trash" to be discarded, but as a collection of resources that still hold inherent value and purpose. By choosing to prioritize diversion and recycling, we ensure that wood, metal, and cardboard are put back into productive use rather than being permanently buried and forgotten in a landfill.

This commitment is a core part of our professional integrity and our identity as a local business. It is our responsibility to manage our operations with wisdom and foresight, ensuring we never take the easy, cluttered way out when a more disciplined path is available. We work hard to stay ahead of state regulations, such as SB 1383, because we believe in being proactive and orderly in our business practices—not just because we have to, but because it is the right way to operate. When you work with us, you are partnering with a team that values stewardship, respects the community we serve, and remains dedicated to the principled, systematic management of every item that enters our containers. We are committed to leaving things better than we found them, one load at a time.

THE SHORT VERSION;
Stewardship over Waste: We treat materials as valuable resources, not just "trash" to be buried and forgotten.

Professional Integrity: We don't take the easy way out; we do the right thing because it's the right way to operate.

Disciplined Leadership: We stay ahead of state mandates (like SB 1383) through proactive, orderly management.

A Trusted Partner: When you work with us, you’re partnering with a team that values discipline, respect, and reliability.
